ROLLED STEEL ANGLE - UN-EQUAL

Rolled steel angle – unequal are referred to as “angle” or “L-shape”.

 

When  measuring both leg lengths it’s recorded with longer first plus the wall thickness, like in this following example;

 

  • 150 x 100 x 8 RSA. 

  • 150mm = height

  • 100mm = width

  • 8mm = wall thickness

 

Unequal angles are often used as;

  • Lintels and

  • Brackets for cleat connections, they are a popular choice for

  • Balconies,

  • Stairs,

  • Concrete supports and platforms etc.
